Being one of the very few centres for higher education in the non-Hindi speaking state of West Bengal, the Department of Hindi at Burdwan Raj College is providing quality education since 2003 with the introduction General course in Hindi. From 2015 we have also started an Honours programme to upgrade our academia. Our department caters mainly to a wide gamut of non-Bengali student of the area.
The department provides training in Hindi Language and Literature, exposes its students to the composite operations of Hindi in India today.
Our objectives:
- We aim to enrich educational and cultural insights of our students. We earnestly work to make students understand the importance of Hindi language, literature, and culture and generate interest in those.
- We encourage students to develop comprehensive knowledge of the Hindi language, writing skills, communication abilities, and literary understanding.
- We inspire students to deeply appreciate different dimensions of Hindi literature.
- We strive to make students understand the importance of Indian cultural heritage through Hindi language and literature, enriching them nationally and internationally.
- We seek to develop social awareness amongst through participation in different social events in a harmonious way creating for the scope to become better citizens.
- We also encourage skill development of students including enhancing communication ability, writing and presentation skills.
- We also provide ample career counselling opportunities.
