Being one of the very few centres for higher education in the non-Hindi speaking state of West Bengal, the Department of Hindi at Burdwan Raj College is providing quality education since 2003 with the introduction of Honours and General courses in Hindi. It caters mainly to a wide gamut of non-Bengali student of the area.

The department provides training in Hindi Language and Literature, exposes its students to the composite operations of Hindi in India today.

The syllabi in both Honours and General courses are designed and programmed keeping an eye to the NET/SET and other UPSC/RAJBHASHA/Hindi examinations so that students can get ample job opportunity.

Our main achievement is consistent academic performance in University examinations since the inception of the Department in 2003.
