Established in 1881 alongside the foundation of the College, the Department of Mathematics stands dedicated to providing high-quality education in Mathematics at the Undergraduate level. Our dynamic faculty members carry extensive experience in teaching Mathematics and Statistics. The core objective of the department is to foster a passion for learning Mathematics and guide students towards career based on a strong foundation in Mathematical education. We actively encourage our students to excel in examinations such as JAM, NBHM, TIFR, IISERs, CMI, and IISc. Additionally, we emphasize the practical application of Mathematics through project work and promote students' participation in seminars and presentations.
