The Department of Mathematics was established in 1881 at the time of foundation of the College. We, at this hallowed institute, are committed to impart high quality education in Mathematics at the Undergraduate level.

The dynamic faculty members of our department have versatile experience in teaching Mathematics and Statistics. The department aims to nurture students for learning Mathematics and choosing a career based on Mathematical education. We always encourage our students to exhibit good performance in examinations like JAM, NBHM, TIFR, IISERs, CMI, IISc.
