Established in 1963, the Political Science Department has strong and resourceful faculty members.

We boast of a healthy and informal teachers-students relationship.

Remedial classes are taken by faculty members to remove the weakness of the students.

The students of the department participate regularly in the Youth Parliaments and Quiz Competitions at the District and State level organized by the Department of Parliamentary Affairs.

Cultivation of leadership quality and power of expression, developing the skill of interactions, building strong personality traits, acquisition of knowledge have been some of the focal areas developed among students through participation in Mock Parliaments and Quiz Competitions etc.

The students of the department regularly secure positions in the university examinations held different years.

They also consistently perform well in Youth Parliaments and Quiz Competitions securing podium finishes.
